New Member Education Program

Theta Chi Fraternity is dedicated to a strict non-hazing new member education program. The program is focused around developing already strong new member candidates into even stronger students, gentlemen, and brothers. The new member program typically lasts a little less than a semester in which time a pledge learns about Georgia Tech traditions, Theta Chi Fraternity, and the Alpha Nu Chapter. The information is presented in an easy to understand notebook that is given out to new members at their first meeting. There are weekly meetings with the Pledge Marshal that last no more than an hour, and each new member is required to meet every brother in the house during the short pledge semester. New members are presented with the opportunity to participate in team building activities and the chance to build relationships with their pledge brothers and the house. However, the bottom line is that the time requirements are extremely minimal.
